Interference by gelatin-based plasma substitutes in capillary zone electrophoresis.

چکیده
could not determine the CYP2B6 genotype of this individual because the PCR-RFLP assays failed to distinguish the two genotypes. An individual classified as CYP2B6*1/*7 or *5/*6 has also been reported by other authors (4). It is necessary to distinguish CYP2B6*1/*7 and *5/*6 because CYP2B6*5, *6, and *7 have been associated with changes in the production and function of CYP2B6, respectively (2, 4). In haplotype determination , a cloning method is usually performed, but this is time-consuming. We therefore developed a method for rapid haplotype determination based on PCR to distinguish CYP2B6*1/*7 and *5/*6.

our upper reference limit for this fraction in all patients. Gelatin-based plasma substitutes are denatured collagens and thus contain complex mixtures of proteins (4 ). Differences in composition among products might explain the distinct migration patterns seen, as well as the different absorbances at the wavelengths used by the CZE instruments. The proteinaceous nature of these plasma substit...
متن کاملA stability indicating capillary electrophoresis method for analysis of buserelin
A simple and rapid stability indicating method based on capillary zone electrophoresis has been developed and validated for the analysis of buserelin (BUS). The best separations were achieved by using a bare fused silica capillary (75 m i.d.; 65.5 cm total, 57.0 cm effective length), phosphate buffer (pH = 3.00; 26.4 mM), at 35 °C. The sample was hydrodynamically injected at 50 mbar for 5 seco...

متن کاملApplication of the Phenomenological Model to Electrophoretic Mobility in Mixed Solvent Electrolyte Systems in Capillary Zone Electrophoresis
The phenomenological model of Khossravi and Connors (1992) has been adopted to calculate the electrophoretic mobility of drugs at different concentrations of solvents in a binary mixture. The accuracy and predictability of the model have been evaluated employing 14 experimental data sets by using average percentage mean deviation (APMD). The obtained APMD for correlative and predictive studies ...
متن کاملTechnique to remove interference caused by radio-opaque agents in clinical capillary zone electrophoresis
To the Editor: We read with great interest the report “Interference of Radio-opaque Agents in Clinical Capillary Zone Electrophoresis” (1 ). A laboratory sent two similar patient samples for our evaluation. Both patients had received intravenous sodium meglumine ioxitalamate (Telebrix), a radioopaque contrast material that absorbs at 214 nm. The interfering substance was not visible on agarose ...
